"As a serious InfoSec Professional, dedicated to the continuous improvement of my skill set, I chose Security University's QFE (Qualified Forensics Expert) course to extend my capabilities in the Incident Response space which is the focus of current employment.
The fact that I chose to use vacation time and personal funding to attend SU's QFE course, and, still intend to attend future courses, should speak volumes about the quality of Security University's training (especially the caliber of their instructors)." Contractor

Q/SA methodology This class was great. I had a chance to have things explained that I normally would have had to learn without. The teacher was very knowledgeable on the subject and shared personal experiences too, nice J . I would definitely attend other classes at SU and look forward to doing so.

Q/WAD May 2008

This class provides an excellent framework to begin a career as a Professional Wireless Penetration Tester, or to add to your systems/networks defense knowledge.  Mr. Cardwell has given us a "complete approach" to penetration and defense:  showing us that in wireless networks, the wired side is as important (if not more) to ensure protection on as the wireless side.  This class was engaging, and Mr. Cardwell's vast experience certainly contributed to the value of the course.  I highly recommend this course and certification to anyone who has any wireless nodes on their network, and also to those who want to make sure that none pop up, unexpectedly.

CISSP Bootcamp - June 2008
I think that I am much better prepared now having taken this CISSP prep class than if I were to have studied on my own. I especially enjoyed the lab work where we searched for answers to vocab or questions we had, referenced very good resources on the internet, and identified free programs that would enable security professions to do our jobs more effectively. CWNA CWSP Bootcamp - June 2008
Security University’s CWNA class is extremely informative for both new and experienced persons. It teaches extremely important fundamentals of RF and regulations to gain CWNA certification. Metka, the instructor, was extremely knowledgeable and easily answered all of our questions and more. She gave very informative real-world scenarios from her own experience that wouldn’t be gained by self-study. I recommend taking this course to gain both CWNA certification and actual real-world knowledge of designing, deploying, implementing, and administrating wireless networks. Network Admin, Academy of Our Lady of Guam Guam..

CWNA CWSP Bootcamp - February 2008

This has actually been a very worthwhile class. I've learned a great deal of information, and it makes me think about the direction of my future learning and career path. I think there's a lot of information here that could benefit my company. The hard part is going to be determining what hardware/tools will be best to implement and convincing the company to spend the money to do it. Owens & Minor

I thought the class was very good very technical and definitely something for people with more than a basic background in the technology. Learned many tools and methods that can defeat your traditional Security measures, and can't help but make you a better security professional. Army

CWNA CWSP Bootcamp - February 2008

I found this to be a very good foundational course yet the material was way beyond introductory. Out of the many students, there was only one student that may have been ready to take the exam and have a good chance to pass. The class made me aware of what I did not know about the subject and gave me a good feel of what to expect and how to prepare for the exam. I have nothing but positive things to say about the instructor. She is a true subject matter expert and a real asset. Northrup Grumman

Sondra, I just got back into the office for the holidays, and found your card waiting for me. I just wanted to say thank you, and thank you again for the great training that I received. I have since passed both CWNA and CWSP tests, and wouldn't have been able to do that without the great training from Kimberly and your company. Thanks again, and have a great new year. CWNA CWSP Bootcamp - October 2007

As a whole, I enjoyed the class. I learned valuable troubleshooting techniques, such as packet and spectrum analysis, that I have yet to learn in other wireless classes. Kim also schooled us on multiple methods used by hackers to compromise wireless environments. This information will not only enable me to better administer my company's wireless network, but also protect my personal data while at home or in transit.

CWSP - August 2007

Good afternoon,

I took the CWSP class at the end of August in Reston VA , and really enjoyed it.  The real-world scenarios were helpful in understanding how it all works together and using the tools made all the difference.  Thanks for the great class.  I passed the CWSP this weekend and am now just waiting for it to go through the process before I can start using the cert.

You absolutely can use my comments regarding the class. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I would not have passed the exam had I not attended Security University. I had been studying every recommended CISSP book on and off for the last year and the class still taught me many things I did not know and helped me to put it all together. I recommend the class to anyone who is serious about passing the CISSP.

CISSP - April 2007

I have never worked so hard on a single exam in my life. As to the preparation in your CISSP course I wouldn't change a thing.  I believe the manner in which you cover the material and the material itself is appropriate. Kim did a good job preparing us for the exam and I feel you shouldn't change a thing.

Thanks for the support and all the helpful hints.  I don't think a person has a clue how tough the exam really is until they sit for it.

I passed my ECSA, and LPT on the first try. whoohoo!

Not only were the SU classes informative and in depth - once I was back to work, I was able to immediately identify gaps in our processes we have in place, and identify and mitigate security risks on servers and applications.  I highly recommend the ECSA\LPT class from Security University for anyone interested in security and penetration testing.  I'll be back to Security University to finish my QISP as soon as I can.

Hi Sondra,

CEH class - Rome Italy, March 27-31 *18 new CEH certificates!*

Hi Sondra, During CEH course I realized I absolutely need to take another course : the CUSW (Certified Underground Secure Woman).

Anyway, the course had really changed me. Though I use a router/modem  (closed by default), I've never think to secure my personal Lan/wan, more then it did. At home and at work now I installed an IDS and a good spyware, and often I check for any strange process in Task Manager... . my brother thinks I'm going mad :-) Sabrina

ECSA Anti-Hacking for Network Penetration Testing Class 3/06

I just wanted to say this was an excellent class. Learning was enjoyable and the instructor really knew her stuff. We started out with general information and moved on to more advanced topics and soon we were hacking alright.

Now I know many of you out there are saying, I have read a lot of testimonials and who knows if they are lying. Let me tell you, Security University knows their stuff for a fact and I am telling if you are deciding between SU and a competition you just have to give SU a try to understand what I am saying. Hey Sondra,
1st day worth the price of admission, received more information first day than just "Pen Testing. The best was networking and meeting other students with diverse security backgrounds/jobs. Web based would be great or on-site with a controlled network, but you have to have the freedom to try all these great tools with sacrificial computers - free from worry!  Great Class can't wait to take another! PKI Testimonial

I just came from taking the PKI Training class from November 26-30 session. I am so glad you brought this class to Booz Allen. I knew a fair amount of PKI from college but not in real detail as some other members in my class. The current contract I work on does not involve PKI but all three of my supervisors are so PLEASED with the information & knowledge I have brought back to them. They actually see many marketing abilities for our area in Defense and I might get a chance to work with NST. One thing for sure it has definitely opened my career doors here at BAH.

Sondra Schneider, our professor was superb. What amazed me was how much knowledge and experience she brought to the class. She was helpful and most of all patient!!! I emphasize patience because you have a lot of Level-3's who propose a lot of challenges during a class. As a recent college graduate I am the first to inform you how important it is to have a good professor. As I recommended to Sondra earlier you might want to consider having her teach each one of her session for more then just a week but for two. Thanks again!!!!!

Ultimate Penetration Testing Testimonial
Dear Sondra,
I’m writing this letter to inform you of my extreme satisfaction with the Ultimate Penetration Testing class that I recently took from Security University. I’ve been involved in network security for the past few years and have taken security related classes from other vendors, including MIS Training Institute and Learning Tree, and the class from Security University was hands down the best I’ve taken. The instructor was very knowledgeable on the subject matter, the course was well organized, and when it said it was a “hands-on” course it really meant it. The courses I’ve taken from other vendors were either all presentation or a “hands-on” lab on the last day. This course had one to two labs every day that reinforced the material covered in the presentation portion of the class. I feel this class gave me the knowledge and skills necessary to address the security needs of my company, and was definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend this course to anyone else and look forward to taking more classes from Security University in the future.

Dear Sondra,

PKI EXPOSED Testimonial

I just attended the January session. I wanted to send a quick email regarding the quality of the course in accordance with evaluation, future recommendations, etc...I thought the class was an excellent introduction for those people who have not previously had much experience with the PKI. I went from very little knowledge to what I consider a fairly comprehensive understanding of the subject in a short time. I have to say that by preparing for the test, I feel that the knowledge I gained will not be forgotten easily (unlike the material in some training courses).

Sondra was an excellent instructor. Not only did she have a great understanding of the subject, but her experience with PKI was very valuable when discussing certain issues. The class was not just a boring lecture for 8 hours a day.I would recommend her to anyone who is serious about learning. She was also very sincere and helpful about answering any questions that came up. I usually don't write emails like this, but I feel it is necessary to express opinions when a class is either extremely good or extremely bad. In this case, I feel that the class was definitely on the extremely good side...

Ultimate Penetration Testing Testimonial
Hello!
I attended the Security University penetration testing class that was held at the Orlando SANS conference during the second week of December. This was an outstanding class and well worth the price! I went into this class with very high expectations as I have already attended SANS training before and have become familiar with what they have to offer. This class met and surpassed all expectations.

The instructor was not only very proficient in understanding the subject matter himself, but he was also very capable of teaching it. I just wanted to take this opportunity to share my opinion with a fellow Booz Allen employee who is apparently in a position to bring more of this training to our company. I highly recommend it!

Regards,
Ralph

Certified Wireless Network Administrator Testimonial

My job involves making wireless technology available to an entire county of 265,700.  I did not have a lot of time to investigate the different wireless products so I sought out a one stop training environment in which I would have the opportunity to learn most in the least amount of time.  Your CWNA & CWSP classes allow me to accomplish my goals.  I have learned more from this training than any other training or work experience that I have had on Wireless technology. I was not able to just sit back and listen, the instructor made me learn. I needed it!

Testimonial: What can I say? But "phenomenal". The in-depth instruction and sound practical applications taught where given utilizing nothing but the top vendors equipment. Security University's CWNA/CWSP classes are highly recommended for experts and novices. Even if you think you know "Wireless" , the information you gain is first class and prepares you for certification. As the demand for technically proficient WIFI managers grows, Security University will be the cutting edge provider of training for all IT personnel regardless of specialization.

Security Architecture Testimonial

The Applied Security Architecture was a very interesting and informative class. The first day, when I found out that everyone else in the class was working issues with this subject on a daily basis, I thought I had made a mistake in attending. As a technical manager who spends most of my time doing management rather than technical activities. However, as the class progressed I found it very interesting and enjoyable, if challenging. The exercises really helped me to see what was being discussed and gave me a blueprint for working my issues.

When I returned to the job I was able to use the class examples and discussions to address the hardware and software requirements for a security lab that I had been trying to get established for four years. This 3-day class brings the whole network together and delivers a secure infrastructure. Students leave class with templates for best practices and hands-on case studies for an effective information security architecture framework."
